This week is back to school for the youngsters amongst us. This means back to early mornings. Back to homework. Back to forgetting PE kits or ingredients for Home Tech.
Thankfully, we’re over that stage of our lives here at M&P! We haven’t completely grown up (you can read the evidence here), the difference is our “back to school” now involves forgetting debit cards and our own glasses – who would do that?!! (cough) Tina.
Seeing all the school uniform posts on social media had us feeling nostalgic – resulting in forcing the team to hand over their old (dare I say, vintage?) school pictures. Of course, this couldn’t just be kept for our eyes only…you are welcome!
“These were my ‘The Woofits’ wellies – I wore them everywhere. As you can see from the picture, the wellies were a necessity, a coat was not!” – Greg
“I wanted to be a bus stop when I grew up. I think I was maybe getting it confused with a bus driver…” – Jon
“I’ve always loved a hula hoop!” – Laura
“My Mum puts it best – I was a ‘scamp’. Flooding the toilets and then trying to blame someone else probably warrants that description!” – Sophie
“I always wanted to be one of the big kids – think I’m still waiting! My favourite question was probably ‘why?’. I wanted to know everything about everything. So nothing’s changed there!” – Becca
“I did have teeth, promise. Stood in front of a Ford Escort on your first day of school – how much more 80’s could you get?! ” – Kate
“Check out the short shorts and elastic tie! I used to pull that elastic tie to see how far it would stretch until … you guessed it elastic snapped right in my eye .. I was strong and manly and only cried for a week” – Tony
